The Lost Princess Series pins are handmade and imperfect, therefore I cannot guarantee a flawless pin. I quality check each pin and separate it into Standard, Minor Flawed, and Major Flawed (if applicable). When you place an order, I select what I believe to be the best available pin from your chosen grade based on order number. 

Standard pins may still be imperfect, but they are the best quality pins out of the batch. Standard grades will likely have shallow scuffs/scratches from the buffing process, a pin prick in the enamel, or other minute flaws that are not visible when viewing directly. If an entire batch has one particular flaw or error (i.e. miss-filled enamel in one place) but it isn't unsightly, then that will not be considered a flaw for that batch.

Minor flawed pins will have one or two small black spots in the enamel, one or two flecks in the pearlescent background (think an individual piece of glitter flipped the wrong way), scuffs, nicks in the screen print, and/or small scratches. These "flaws" are very minor and (in my opinion) don't detract from the overall beauty of the pin, but they are visible when viewing directly.

Major Flawed pins contain several of the above-mentioned flaws or a noticeable flaw that is unsightly (grossly wrong color miss-fill, deep scratch, etc). Major Flawed pins will be sold individually with photographs and a description of their specific flaws.
